Dr. Vignesh Krishnamoorthi Kaliannagounder

Dr. Vignesh Krishnamoorthi Kaliannagounder is a distinguished post-doctoral research fellow with a robust background in biomaterials and nanomedicine. Holding a Ph.D. in Bionanosystem Engineering from Jeonbuk National University, South Korea, and an M.Tech in Nanomedical Science from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India. Vignesh has dedicated over five years to pioneering advancements in 3D printing, polymer processing, and nanomaterial synthesis and functionalization. Currently serving as a Research Associate at Newcastle University, Vignesh spearheads projects focused on enhancing cardiac tissue stimulation using advanced 3D-printed perfusion culture inserts and integrating innovative bioprinting technologies. His expertise extends to the development of non-invasive, controllable piezoelectric composite scaffolds for bone and anticancer theragnostic applications, reflecting his commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and technology transfer. Vignesh’s research contributions are well-documented through numerous publications in high-impact journals, including ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering and Nano Energy. He has also actively participated in international conferences, presenting his findings and fostering academic dialogue. His accolades include the Creative Challenge Basic Research Fellowship from the National Research Foundation of Korea.
